Animal Carer

Animal Care Volunteers play an important role in helping our dogs and cats feel safe, healthy, loved, and comfortable while they are in care. This role involves supporting the daily routines that keep animals happy and well looked after, including feeding, walking, grooming, socialising, cleaning, and providing gentle companionship.

Volunteers may assist with dogs, cats, puppies, or kittens depending on requirements on the day and the volunteer’s experience level. No formal animal care qualification is required, but volunteers should be patient, reliable, kind, and willing to follow instructions from staff or senior volunteers.
